Disaster Relief
Disaster Relief Team Leader: Ed Mc Veigh

In July 2007, as we were led by God to begin a Chainsaw Recovery Unit. In 2008 we were led by God to begin the development of a Mass Care Mobile Kitchen Unit that has the capability of preparing 3000+ meals daily. Additionally, our volunteers have undertaken Disaster Relief training in a broad range of related areas: Lay Chaplaincy, Child Care, Water Purification, Showers, Communication, Incident Command/Management, and Emergency Shelter Operation.

Annual regional training (required to participate) events are provided by trained MBC volunteers. Check with your Church or the DOM for information as to the specifics of available training, which has normally been scheduled in the latter portion January of each year, for the Northeast Region.

We work in conjunction with the Missouri Baptist Convention, North American Mission Board, American Red Cross, and the Salvation Army -- along with local emergency mangement units.
