   BIBLE TRAINING CENTRE for PASTORS

             and CHURCH LEADERS

In January 2013 we began to offer and instruct non-formal Christian education classes in our Association. Classes are currently scheduled in two separate locations: (1) Alexandria Baptist Church in Alexandria, MO (north group); and (2) FBC Lewistown in Lewistown, MO (south group). Both class groups are identical in content, however, the two class sites are offered for the convenience of the students.

The classes are offered in partnership with the world renowned "Bible Training Centre for Pastors" (Tucker, GA), of which the curriculum is by Dr. Dennis J. Mock, founder and president. There are two distinct study tracks: (1) Bible Training Centre for Pastors; and (2) Bible Training for Church Leaders. The course of study is to prepare men to pastor a New Testament church, and also to prepare lay men and women in their God-called roll of leadership (e.g., Deacons, Sunday School & Discipleship Teachers, Mission Teams, etc) in a local New Testament church. 

The classes, as mentioned, are "non-formal," meaning there are no written exams, grades, or research paper requirements. BTCP/BTCL uses a Biblical, systematic, portable and comprehensive approach to providing the foundational equivalent of a good Bible college or seminary education. Our training consists of 520 hours of interactive classroom lecture and discussion under the supervision of a qualified instructor, taking about 2-3 years to complete. There are different levels of certificates that may be earned.

The mission statement of BTCP/BTCL is: "To extend non-formal theological training to the world's untrainined pastors and church leaders." The classes are open to anyone affiliated with a church of the Christian faith, and located in the geographic region of our Association. The courses are open to all on a trans-denominational (i.e., classes are open to all students of Christian faith, regardless of Christian  denominational affiliation--however, a signed BTCP/BTCL statement of faith is required for acceptance). Costs are minimal.
